What is the Songbird Experience?

South Carolina Portrait Photographer

I have to say that I love what I do.  Everything from the high level of communication we have, to helping pick an outfit if you just can’t decide, to brainstorming creative ways we can create your ideal “Pinterest” photo shoot.  I love it all.

I love the fact that after 10 emails and 2 hours, we feel like family friends. I know about your first date, and your son doesn’t hide behind your leg to stay away from me.  I try to create a comfortable environment in our sessions and a friendship along the way.  I will be honest with you and tell you if you have too much make-up on or if you are giving me a fake smile, and your pictures will look better because of it. Hopefully you will trust me more and at the end of the day, we will want to sit at the dinner table like family.

That being said, while we are getting acquainted via phone calls and emails, there tends to be a general progression of events:

  • Initial contact and confirmed booking
  • Fabulous session on location
  • Teasers and preview posted through Facebook and Blog (unless you request otherwise)
  • Disk of completed images mailed to you 2 weeks after session
  • Free reign to print and post as desired

When all is said and done, I am confident that you will have images that get printed and framed in the house.  Some may become your “forever images”, the ones you just don’t want to replace with a newer picture.  Some may make it to this year’s holiday card.  Some may get printed or put in an album for friends and family.  My hope is that all of them reflect you and your loved one(s) and shine a little light on the joy in your heart(s) that day.

Just saw our pictures on your website. They are marvelous. We are a good looking family and you brought out the best in us. Had a lot of fun that morning. The setting was perfect. Thank you so much. From the Maclaughlin family – Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
